The biggest milestone I have to report is that Spring is no longer our toothless wonder! Sometime in the night last night, her first tooth broke through! Yesterday evening, her gums were swolen and I could see the tooth under the surface, but couldn't feel anything hard. This morning, there was less swelling and I could actually feel a hard little tooth there. By this evening, it was even easier to feel.
Spring continues to stand unsupported for longer and longer periods of time, but still no steps. This could fall under the category of "be careful what you wish for" but I'm actually looking forward to her beginning to walk. She at the point now where I think she's frustrated because she can't walk.
Spring has also dropped her first nap, which I love! It's much easier to plan your day around one nap rather than two. She still gets cranky in the morning around her old naptime, but even on days where I've really tried to get her to fall asleep in the morning, she just won't do it.
Spring giving her flirty look! I love it! When she does this, she always tilts her head to the left.
Managed to catch her in the middle of squealing with delight!
We went to the Kitsap County Fair this weekend and one of Reed's milestones is that we have now entered the age of rides. He saw the rides from a distance and wanted to check them out, and once he saw them he wanted to ride them! He was just barely tall enough so we told him he could ride two rides. He chose to ride a car ride twice. Then the ride operator let us have a third ride for free and even stopped the cars over the bridge so we could get good pictures (she did this with a line of kids waiting no less!)

And I have to include a picture of Spring at the fair. After all, this was her first trip to the fair, and that, in and of itself, is a pretty major milestone in this house!
And Reed's other milestone is that he got to go on his first fishing trip! My dad found a little trout fishing place that had a special kids pond and took Reed and his new fishing pole. Reed did great and caught five fish!! Tragically, his fishing pole got broken in the yard a few days later, but at least we were able to keep the reel.
Grandma and Grandpa said the challenge was getting Reed to leave his fishing pole still for long enough for a fish to bite. They had to count to five, then he could reel it in (there were a lot of hungry fish!)
Reed and Grandpa show off his catch! His very first fish is the one on the far left. Grandpa smoke the trout for us. Yum!

Wow, it's doesn't seem like that long ago that we were reading about Gerry delivering Spring...now look at her! My how the time is flying by.
Both Reed and Spring are growing like weeds and are as cute as ever!
